Membership Requirements
Membership Categories and Criteria
Our New Membership and Renewal Application can be completed on the Central Florida Estate Planning Council website. NEW member applications are reviewed and considered for approval by the Board of Directors.
Annual dues include the cost of four educational dinner meetings, four educational lunch and learns, four national webinars, and two social events.
An applicant for active membership must meet the following criteria:
- An applicant must devote a substantial part of his or her professional practice or employment to some area of estate planning.
- New applicants must have 2 members' recommendations, including one from the same profession as the applicant.
- An applicant must meet one of the following categories:
TRUST ADMINISTRATION - Any officer of a bank or trust company or Certified Trust and Fiduciary Advisor (CTFA).
INSURANCE AND FINANCIAL - A person designated as a Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU), as a Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC), a person designated as a Certified Financial Planner (CFP), a person designated as a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), or a person designated as a Chartered Private Risk and Insurance Advisor (CPRIA).
LEGAL - A person licensed in any United States Jurisdiction.
ACCOUNTING - A person licensed as a CPA in any United States Jurisdiction.
CHARITABLE - An officer of a not-for-profit entity organized under the laws of any United States Jurisdiction, a person designated as a Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy (CAP), or a person designated as a Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE).
OTHER -A person who exhibits expertise in estate planning through extensive and active involvement through educational lectures, articles, and other publications directed toward professionals in the field of estate planning.
ASSOCIATE MEMBER - A renewing member who has exhibited the ability to bring value to the Council in a manner that is not reflected by the Council’s regular membership.
